Egmont Kärnan - Freelance Designer & Layout Specialist
Egmont is one of Scandinavia's leading media groups, producing weeklies, magazines, comics, books, educational materials, and activity products. Some of the titles I have worked with over the years are Star Wars, Bob the Builder, Donald Duck & Co., Ernie, and Pokémon.
For many years, I collaborated with Egmont Kärnan as an independent designer and layout specialist and contributed to a wide range of publications. My primary attention was on magazines, books, comic books, and advertisements, where my role was shaping the visual stories and ensuring a harmonious, attractive layout. Working with a company known for its strong presence in publications, I developed layout designs with readability, in both print and digital forms. I adapted to the brand guidelines along with bringing new, creative ideas in each project. From handling typography and image composition to finalizing the print-ready files.
This long-term cooperation allowed me to refine my skills in editorial design, work efficiently within tight time limits, and contribute to the success of famous publications. My experience with Egmont Kärnan reflects my ability to merge creativity with technical expertise, which ensures visually striking and user-friendly designs.
